My email to HGTV.com about having my own show

Dear HGTV producers

I am an Australian naturopath, nutritionist and author and would like to have a TV show encouraging people to make small steps to sustainable living. This would include, herbal gardens, vegetable gardens, using grey waters, solar ideas etc...

This is my producers reel http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jket9ruI59s. And I have a lot of interviews on my website www.healthqueen.com.au as well as many short clips on Youtube under The Health Queen.

If you wanted to test the waters, maybe a short segment with Jamie Durie on the Outdoor Room would help guage interest.

Thank-you and I look forward to hearing back from you

Crazy FUN week

What a great week this has been!

A talk on Saturday that went really well with a group of PTs. Motivated group, great energy and I really enjoyed giving the presentation. Great feedback which is always so lovely and a bonus.

Another talk on Monday for a corporation. Perfect, just what I want to do. Subcontract speaking and media. Turn up for talks, deliver an amazing presentations , inspire and educate and do interviews, article writing and research for rest of my time.

The new look HQ branding came out on Monday. Thank-you so much Steph – I imagine its like getting a boob job! Something you always want and until you do , you don’t  realise HOW much it will change your life and wish you had done it earlier. Loving my new signature and web banner. Everything looks so much more professional. And my confidence has soared.

Another talk tomorrow night in Hobart – Release Your Soul Sista. And now doing talks interstate – just what I want too. Travel and talk.

I have been asked to write for Jamie Drury’s Magazine, Blackmores today, the Sunday Morning Herald story might run this week.

The interview that Today Tonight did a few weeks back, ran this evening. Chttp://au.news.yahoo.com/today-tonight/consumer/article/-/9968941/celebrity-heads/#videoelebrity Heads. I thought they did a fairly balanced story.

And its only Wednesday and I still have to pack! I am taking Mischa with me this trip. IT will be great for her as they haven’;t been home for nearly 3 years. I need to take them all home really.

Best i go pack!

Sam Beau Patrick has been painting for as long as she could walk. Growing up in a very arty family has its advantages as she was always surrounded by art, art exhibitions and artists. Her grandmother, Marie Piscioneri , is a well known Tasmanian Artist and other relatives are equally as talented.

Sam’s philosophies in life encompass tolerance, acceptance, vibrancy, spontaneity, loving and respecting our environment and all life forms, and relishing in the flavours and colours of life. In her art, she tries to capture the depth of colours and illicit a sense of happiness within the viewer.

Pitch

I have had the best week – will recap soon. I am just sending my pitch off to Better Homes and Gardens… Common’ you good thing!

Sustainable Gardening or Organics

Naturopath and herbalist, Sam Beau Patrick would love to host a segment pitched for average Australians wanting to start growing their own vegetables and herbs. Over time the segment could expand to include all aspects of eco-friendly living in the domestic setting (chicken hatch, grey water usage etc).

Consumers are enquiring and demanding more “cleaner” produce in Australia and with Peak Oil being reached, it is now that people are starting to look towards self sufficiency, even in urban environments. Globally organics are growing at 10-15% (the fastest growing food sector) and in Australia 6 in 10 people buy organics occasionally.

It is even more topical at the moment due to the current Carbon Tax debate.

The segment will draw a new audience and will inspire the current audience. No other television station is hosting such a segment at the moment. Alternative stories can include children as growing vegetables is a wonderful way to introduce children to the yard.

Testimonial from a corporate client

“We saw amazing changes in our staff after your first visit; everyone began to really think about what they were eating, drinking and even how much they were sleeping and how they were feeling! The analysis sheet is especially useful as it really explains what’s going on inside you. Staff found it great to have an actual report tailored just to them with personal results and readings. We ran a three month challenge throughout the whole company to see who could reduce their cellular age by the biggest percentage – with some great results. Almost everyone joined in and we had fun along the way discussing who was going to have wine and who would opt for juice or water at Friday afternoon drinks -there was a lot of healthy competition flying around the place! Overall staff also enjoyed their measurement sessions with you as well, they liked to be able to talk to you about how they were feeling and how they can reduce their stress levels etc. Your expertise was really valued and trusted – plus everyone wanted to have beautiful skin like yours so I think you are a credit to yourself as you obviously practice what you preach! The benefit to the business has been great – its really important to us to look after our staff and helping them to look after themselves is an added bonus. Healthy staff – healthy business.

We’re hoping to have you back again at the end of the year Sam so thanks for everything”

Wonderful weekends

Another magic weekend on the Gold Coast.

Friday night rainbows….

I only had the two girls which is a novelty and we were happy hanging around the house, cooking, painting and being girls.

Yesterday we went to the organic markets and the produce is SO good at the moment. This is a $20 shop! How amazing and packed with nutrients. It’s so important to meet the farmer who grows your food. They are the most important people in our world.

In the avo we did some slack lining and afterwards had a fun session watching the Mason Rack Band at Fishos with some friends. A nice, low stress weekend!

And then this morning a winters day that feels like spring.. magic
