What a great idea. Get to be at your own funeral the week before you go…that would be the biggest party night/week of your life.
How cool to live that designed week again and again and again, because you tap into that slip stream.. mmm. I think I can, I know I can I’m doing it.
Yes life is too short. I loved my walk at Binna Burra today with Kalani and our lunch date and play by the fire talking to an elderly gentleman (in the literal sense) who was waiting patiently (looking at his clock quite a lot – something I noticed Nono do) and then drop poetry or English language learnings into the conversation. I miss my afternoon chats by the fireside with my grandparents.
At one point when I said to Kalani’s “What?” , No darling , we say “I beg your pardon” to which the gentleman said, we used to say “only beggars beg your pardon”. It was a lovely per chance meet. I said “I will see you again soon” (he must have been over 80 if not a 100 in the shade) and he earnestly said “ I certainly hope we do.”
On our one hour + bushwalk today, (I was so surprised and very very happy that he can at walk a good distance as we shall be doing a lot more bushwalking now). I taught Kalani how to hug trees and draw on their energy. He loved it so much (just believes now that is the way it is) that we had to hug and kiss lots of trees. Then one nasty thing called a “wait a while” palm tree gave him a prickle and scratched his head, and threw him into confusion. Trees give energy, but trees hurt?!#$? . So we narrowed it down quickly to only “wait a while”, or I may have called it solicitor palm? . what a great day. Then we both went to tennis and had a hit together. He is amazingly good for a 4 yo.
Kalani is my greatest teacher sometimes:-)
