Motivational song of the day… it hasn’t stopped raining here for 3 weeks. Love it. So here is young Eddie Rabbitt – I love a rainy night
Often when I recommend people to embrace the organic thing, they crease up, and say “but it’s too expensive”.
All I can say is this…the price difference is no longer there, as I will show you in a minute, it is an effort though. You do need to shop at markets, you do need to smile as you meet the amazing farmer who has tenderly nurtured and grown your produce from seedlings and you need to be comfortable that your body and health are NOT rights of passage, but need loving, and caring. And be prepared to be exited – very excited.
Organic living is amazingly empowering.
This is what I purchased today for $50 bucks.
This is the mix:
Kale, Spinach, Rocket, 1 kg of broccolini, dill, parsley (Italian and normal), hummus, spelt biscuits (for kids lunches), cherry tomatoes, pumpkin, carrots, beetroot, broccoli shoots, ginger, 12 apples.
With this I will make or do with the produce:
Pumpkin and Italian Parsley Soup.
Kids lunches: apples and biscuits
Hummus – dip with carrot sticks and broccolini for the footy final this afternoon
Salad for the remainder of the week with loads of greens, herbs, grated ginger and macadamia oil (which I bought last week).
PLUS for an extra $45 I got this…. so now I am getting my lettuce leaves from my own lit’ organic garden . It’s so cool.
This is my other organic basket that is going crazy. I have had enough salad from it all of last week. It’s very special being able to collect one’s food from the garden. I love it.
